Ducks grown up.

Our baby ducks are huge! They are so pretty too! They love the canal behind our house and stay withing 200 yards or so. We still feed them chicken scratch and they come home to eat once a day. We trapped them in their pen the other day. The colors and softness of their feathers are amazing!

Tangible Grief.

We buried Kimmy on Monday. Joy of life. Grief at death. A husband and children bury their wife and mother. Tears flow.
A father says goodbye to his only daughter. More tears.
We all say our goodbye.
We miss you Kimmy!!!!!!!!!

Kimmy---We Love you!

My beautiful sister-in-law, Kimmy, passed away this morning. We love you Kimmy! We will miss you always! You are a truly wonderful soul. Thank you for letting me and my family be a part of your life. Cystic fibrosis has caused you suffering beyond words and has taken you from us far to soon! Thank you, thank you for the example you have been of true love and faith!

Temple

It is nice to live close to the temple! A few weeks ago we had our first Beehive only activity, a walk around the temple and a short tour of the Visitor's Center. Our ward has had very few Beehives until recently and now we have enough to actually have our own activities. I am the over the Beehive age girls in our ward. (12 to 14 years old)
Here is a picture of my sweet Lauren in front the the beautiful flowers at the temple. I had to bring my camera along of course.

Fun Family Game

We tried out Frisbee Golf the other day at Freeman Park. It was actually a lot of fun. I highly recommend it as cheap family entertainment. A few nights later Kerry made our own family game in the yard seeing who could be the closest to landing the frisbee in the kiddie swimming pool. He even offered $5 for a "hole in one" but no one could cash in on the prize.

Rabbits for Sale!

Get one now! Lauren's little rabbits are ready to leave and find new homes and they are only $5! Here are Butterscotch, such a cutie and Luna, the calmest of the bunch with a cool color.
This one we call Bella, she is sweet. She has a fluffier brother with black fur (no photo available) that we call Spock. Spock is the character of the bunch and likes to get away from us whenever possible.
This is Thumper except we think it is a girl so a name change may be coming. This one is a favorite, with a fun personality. Let us know if you want a baby bunny!

First Game of the Season

Kieran had his first game of his 8th grade season this week at Firth. He is playing full back this year and has been very pumped about his new position. He got to carry the ball several times and had a terrific game. He scored two extra points, ran the ball for at least 80 yards and was a key player in every offensive drive. He made several important tackles on defense and didn't once leave the field in the 2nd half of a very close game which Eagle Rock gave away in the last 15 seconds. Kerry and I were very proud the the way he played in the game and the attitude he has in being a good team leader and sportsman. Here are several pictures showing one of his runs.

If this guys hadn't caught him by the foot he would have been into the endzone.
But, a 20 yard run and first down is great anytime.
