Christmas Eve
Each Christmas Eve the kids humor me and put on the Nativity play. This year I was the narrator and Jemma was the black sheep. The girls alternate years at being Mary or angel and the boys take turns at the parts of Joseph and shepherd. We don't have enough kids for wisemen, besides that came later, right? Hopefully this tradition, which started when I was a kid, will continue for years to come!

Family Pictures
While we were in San Diego we hired a photographer that DaNell had recommended to do family pictures for us at the beach. It was so fun for me to have someone else take our pictures. The price was reasonable and then I got all the digital images to edit. We got many fun pictures and the kids didn't even complain at the photographer once. Usually they whine when I try to get them to have pictures.
The pictures above is a fun one but my kids say it looks like I am flipping someone the "bird". I say I'm pointing out that my family is #1.
This is one of my favorites but Amanda doesn't like it so I am letting her pick the one that will put on a big canvas for our house.

San Diego Trip 2011
April 4-11 we took a trip to San Diego as a family. Kerry had a medical conference there so we all took advantage of the free motel and car rental. We flew on Allegiant Air to Long Beach and drove to San Diego where we stayed in the Embassay Suites Hotel on the Bay.
Across from out hotel was Seaport Village. We had fun trying on some hats at one of the shops there. We also found some shirts for our family pictures at there.
It was fun to get to take a trip away from cold, cold Idaho. The weather in San Diego was 60's and breezy but much warmer that what we were used to.
