Lovin' the fall!
Fall is my favorite time of year. We planted this maple last fall and it has grown like crazy. Its fall colors are so vibrant and rich. The colors of nature are so amazing!

Pumpkin Muffins
I've had several people ask me about my pumpkin recipe, it is one of my favorites. Here's a picture of what you need. And here's the recipe:
PUMPKIN BREAD/MUFFINS
MIX TOGETHER: 4 beaten eggs, 3 cups sugar, 1 cup oil, 1 can pumpkin ( about 2 cups), 2/3 cup cold water.
ADD: 3 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg
MIX but don't over mix.
BAKE in 2 greased loaf pans at 350 degrees for about an hour or fill muffin tins 2/3 full at bake for about 15 minutes.
I think pumpkin is just beautiful, what a lovely color, so rich! And if you are really ambitious, I am not, you can cook down your own pumpkins--what fun!
And this is my wonderful Bosch mixer that my Mom gave me a few Christmas's ago, thanks Mom! I have used it a ton! It mixes the muffins marvelously.
So here are the ingredients in the bowl. So pretty.
And here is the handy 7 year-old, he just lined the tins with these cute white liners
If you have leftover liners you and add some spooky decorations to your chandelier like Lauren did to ours.
Look, 7 year old are very useful, such concentration.
Lauren was drawing during the process, notice the muffins in the distance almost ready to cook.
And finally, this is the finished yummy product!! Straight from me to you!

Bike Basket.
Lauren wanted a basket for her new bicycle so Amanda and Kieran bought her one for a birthday present. I just had to post this picture, so cute!! This is Lauren giving her bunny, Luna, a ride.
Lauren's bike basket is very popular at our house. Ivo, the cat, loves to be in the basket and will stay in it for very long rides.
Jasper's favorite toy bird, Pheasant, tried to hitch a ride too. But, Jasper decided it was too dangerous and wouldn't let him ride.
Silly dog. Basket riding is great!

Dunes, finally!
We finally got to the dunes last Saturday for the first time in like two years!!
Here is my "Mom" 4-wheeler, tires are worn out, useful racks, bags full of food, water, sunscreen, toys, camera, book, rope, sunglasses, gloves, jackets.........kitchen sink.
"wanna play catch?"
Kason had fun now that he is big enough to ride the yellow 4-wheeler.
Kerry enjoyed his day of riding.
Kieran decided his dad's 4-wheeler was pretty cool!
I just really liked this one.
Well, I liked this one too. I sure have fun taking pictures. If you really want to see more dunes pictures I have 40 or so on my website, www.zeldashouse.com in the album gallery.

I love my family!
This is us, me and my family. They are so awesome!! Considering I usually have a camera attached to my arm, I have very few pictures of all six of us together. When I do get one it is because I have terrorized someone (in this case my great sis-in-law, Debbie) by handing them my monster camera. Thanks, Debbie, nice job!

Touchdown!!
Last week Kieran scored his fist touchdown on an 80 yard kickoff return!! What a way to score! He had several family members there to watch his highlight moment, so that made it fun too.
His team is 1-4 but Kieran has really done well at the fullback position and has had a fun season in spite of the few wins. This week he scored another touch down and extra point on short runs. He has averaged more than 100 yards per game and will have one postseason game.
